Eicher Motors Surpasses Q4 Profit Estimates on the Back of Record Royal Enfield Sales

Eicher Motors beat Q4 FY25 profit estimates with a 27% rise in net profit to ₹1,362 crore, fueled by record-breaking Royal Enfield sales and surging global demand. The company crossed the milestone of 1 million motorcycle sales in a fiscal year for the first time.

Eicher Motors has delivered a stellar performance for the fourth quarter of FY2024–25, driven largely by the strong momentum of Royal Enfield motorcycles in both domestic and international markets. The company outperformed market expectations, highlighting its strategic resilience and growing global presence.

Strong Financial Performance

In Q4 FY25, Eicher Motors reported a net profit of ₹1,362 crore, reflecting a substantial 27% year-on-year growth. This result exceeded analysts’ forecasts and demonstrated the brand’s consistent profitability. Total revenue for the quarter reached ₹5,241 crore, showing a 23.2% increase compared to the same period last year.

Reflecting confidence in its financial strength, the company has declared a dividend of ₹70 per share for its shareholders.

Royal Enfield Drives Record Sales

Royal Enfield, Eicher Motors’ flagship motorcycle brand, was a key growth engine this quarter.

  • Quarterly Sales: Royal Enfield achieved its highest-ever quarterly sales with 280,801 units sold in Q4 FY25 — a 23.2% increase compared to the previous year.

  • Annual Milestone: For the first time in its history, Royal Enfield crossed the 1 million mark in annual sales, registering 1,002,893 units in FY25 — up by 10% from the previous fiscal.

  • Global Expansion: Exports also witnessed remarkable growth, rising 29.7% year-on-year to 100,136 units. This growth was fueled by increasing demand in global markets including Bangladesh, the Americas, and parts of Europe.

Focused Product Strategy Paying Off

Royal Enfield’s surge in popularity is driven by a well-curated lineup of mid-weight motorcycles that cater to both urban riders and long-distance tourers. Models like the Himalayan 450, Meteor 350, Classic 350, and Hunter 350 have helped capture a wide demographic.

This performance validates Eicher Motors’ strategy of targeting the mid-size motorcycle segment (250cc–750cc), which continues to grow in popularity across emerging and developed markets alike.

Looking Ahead

With robust domestic demand, expanded global outreach, and a healthy product pipeline, Eicher Motors is well-positioned for sustained growth. The company’s continued investments in R&D and new model launches are expected to reinforce its market leadership and further cement Royal Enfield’s legacy in the global motorcycling landscape.
